An elderly couple was driving through the countryside when they were pulled over by a police officer. The wife was driving.
The officer walked up and said,
“Ma’am, do you realize you were speeding?”
The hard-of-hearing wife turned to her husband and asked,
“What did he say?”
The husband shouted,
“He says you were speeding!”
The officer then said,
“May I see your driver’s license, please?”
Again, the wife turned to her husband,
“What did he say?”
The husband yelled,
“He wants to see your driver’s license!”
So she handed it over.
The officer looked at it and said,
“Oh, I see you’re from Arkansas. I’ve been there once… and I had a date with the *gliest woman I’ve ever seen.”
The wife turned to her husband once more and asked,
“What did he say?”
The husband replied loudly,
“He says he knows you.” 😏
