My grandpa went to the hospital for a routine checkup.
The doctor looked over his chart and said,
“Sir, you really need to cut back on salt.”
Grandpa shook his head.
“Can’t do it, Doc. Without salt, my fries taste like cardboard.”
The doctor sighed.
“Fine. Then at least cut out the beer.”
Grandpa looked offended.
“Absolutely not. My liver would get lonely.”
The doctor rubbed his forehead.
“Alright… but at your age, you really need to get more rest.”
Grandpa smiled, reached beside his chair, and pulled out his walker.
It had two built-in beer holders.
“Relax, Doc. I’m resting right now.”
He pointed proudly at the walker.
“See? This is my cardio machine.”
The doctor stared at him in silence.
Ten minutes later, a nurse walked in.
“Sir, we’re discharging you.”
Grandpa smiled.
“Already? Am I okay?”
The nurse nodded.
“You’re the healthiest patient here… and you’re making everyone else feel bad.”
Grandpa grabbed his walker.
“Excellent. Now, where’s the nearest exit?”
