One evening, a man was relaxing on the couch, watching TV and tossing peanuts into the air…
Catching each one perfectly in his mouth.
Just as he flipped another peanut up, his wife called out,
“Honey, can I ask you something?”
He turned to answer…
And the peanut missed his mouth completely.
Plop!
Straight into his ear.
He tried shaking it out.
Nothing.
He poked at it with his finger.
That only pushed it in deeper.
His wife spent the next hour trying every trick she could think of, but the peanut refused to come out.
Finally, they gave up and decided it was time to head to the hospital.
Just then, their daughter arrived home with her boyfriend.
After hearing what had happened, the young man smiled confidently.
“I think I can fix this.”
He sat the father down, gently pinched his nose shut with two fingers, and said,
“Now… blow as hard as you can!”
The father blew.
POP!
The peanut shot out of his ear like a cork from a champagne bottle.
Everyone cheered.
The mother was amazed.
“What a clever young man!”
After the boyfriend left, she turned to her husband and smiled.
“He’s wonderful. What do you think he’ll be when he grows up?”
The father sniffed the air thoughtfully…
Then replied,
“Judging by the smell on his fingers…”
“…I’d say our son-in-law.” 😂
