A father was chatting with his friend about how he disciplined his teenage son.
“I didn’t take away his phone,” he said.
“I didn’t ground him either.”
His friend looked surprised.
“Then what did you do?”
The father smiled proudly.
“I changed the Wi-Fi password every morning.”
His friend raised an eyebrow.
“And how does that punish him?”
The father laughed.
“To get the new password, he has to clean the kitchen, take out the trash, and mow the lawn.”
His friend stared at him.
“That’s genius! Does it actually work?”
“Work?” the father replied.
“The house has never been cleaner!”
Then he grinned.
“And the best part? My son still hasn’t realized I haven’t paid the internet bill in two weeks!”
His friend burst out laughing.
“So he’s been doing chores for a password that doesn’t even work?”
The father nodded proudly.
“Exactly. Parenting is all about motivation!”
